I am really close to being able to get this done in a few weeks, probly 2 or 3. I know lac long tube headers and off road h and stuff but i probly wont get that stuff, i cant order them.

Im going to the shop in town and having them do it all and then its all done and only 1 bill to pay

what all should i get?

... just tell him to do it... then grab a hard hat and stand around with some blue prints in your hand with a clean shirt and look important... thats what i would tell a mech with exhaust...

its not like its to hard to figure out tho

... are you gonna keep the stock heads and have them do from their back or a custom cat back?

kk well if you don't get new heads you have two choices... you can do from the headers back... this would be new pipes... cats if you choose to do these and mufflers and then tips...

if you do cat backs then they can custom make all new pipings and shit... it all depends on your plans... its kinda hard to tell you what exactley to do with out knowing your ideas... so what do you have in mind?

exhaust

alright this is a rountinge question so first if emissions matter

1.check to c if long tubes are legal in your state if not short tubes, high flow catted H pipe Flow tubes flowmaster 40s and exits (IMO flowmaster 2.5 inch exits to 3 inch chrome tips)

2 if there not Long tube headers, off road H pipe MIL eliminators O2 extenders Flowtubes and 40 series flows and then the exits

but price is a huge issue and long tubes are what $300

that leaves him with only 2 left for them to install a custom set up...

im thinking a custom fabbed cat back... with your choice of mufflers and what ever tips you want and ask the shop to make it work

a catback with stock midpipe is just a hugh waster of money, long tubes according to you 300(dont have to get name brand but I would)
160 Off road H pipe
55 Flowtubes
140 both flow 40s
if your 95 up 70 MIL eliminators
maybe 60 O2 extenders
785-825 dollars save up if you dont have it

DO NOT GET CHEAP MUFFLERS get name brand and MAC flowtubes or mangapacks are basically the only good sounding option on a v6 IMO if you dont get it all name brand you can prob save money if you cant afford the full thing x out the h-pipe and get two peices of pipe bent for true duals then flow 40s save you money on the h pipe and flowtubes then just dump ti and you might be able to afford it

but thats the thing we only have $500 in this case... soo i see cat backs as the only possible route... it wouldn't be a y pipe back... it would be a true dual

yep i'm going with faleen's suggestion whenever the shop calls me saying the stuff they ordered is in

having them cut my y pipe and fabricate a true dual setup with a crossover bar....i ordered 2.25 flowmaster super 40s for 65 ea new from ebay +17 dollars shipping....then they are attaching gt tailpipes to the mufflers

mufflers were 147 including shipping...shop estimate was 225-250

so 372-397 total cost plus i have a 15% off coupon for the shop work

so actually like 339-360 total for everything
