Catted H vs. Catted X

I have a bone stock 06' GT, and I want to start making Mods. When it comes to price, I have to be a little frugal, and I want to stay street and emissions legal. Is it woth the price tag to get a Cated X over my Stock H. Of course I'd like an increase in power, but would it be significant enough to be worth the price tag. I have no plans to add a S/C, but I am going to get 4.10 gears, CAI, UD pulleys, at least axle back Exhaust, adn a tune or custom chip. In the distant future I'm thinking of adding a new cam, CMD plates, and long tube headers.

As far as the ax back exhaust, I like the new American Thunder Flowmasters (277.99 @ jegs.com). As far as my taste in sound, I love this clip @ Corsaperformance (see link). If I can Afford the Corsa's after the other mods I'd go this way (599.95). Unless of course I could get the same sound for less, without sacrificing too much in quality.

hmm.. the x will give u like 4 more hp on the upper rpm range but the h will give you some more down low torque. H sounds better with chambered mufflers like flowmaster. I just got an off road h and flowmasters installed, and let me tell you its that tradtional mustang sound, its not too loud, its loud though, loud enough that it makes people turn their heads and be like DAMN that things loud, but it also has a perfect tone.. really is a great system. I also like off road h with frpp stingers.. and vialators sounds pretty good 2 if u wanna be really loud.

I'm not a big fan of the Flows. It's not that they sound bad, they just sound typical to me. I know at least 6 guys running them right now and it seems like everybody and their mother has Flows. People that know nothing about Mustangs even know the name flows. I can't speak for anyone else, but if I pay for a after market exhaust I want to sound differently than everbody else.

I like the sound of magnapacks on the 2005+ models. I think a A nice set of Magnapacks with a Mac prochamber would sound great. You can even keep your stock cats with this prochamber.
