Dyno Jet vs Mustang dyno

What would equal 400 rwhp on a dyno jet?

or is the "safe" common 400 rwhp benchmark come from a mustang dyno?

Basically im using a dyno jet and my tuner is a little power crazy so i want to real him in at around 400, but I know the dyno jet will read higher than that - i was just wondering if anybody knew more specifically what I should be around on a dyno jet.

I've been told by a couple dyno operators that the Mustang dyno reads higher than any other out there and is the most innaccurate.

On any chassis dyno, make your base pulls and tune from there. Don't focus on a specific horsepower goal because it will change from dyno to dyno. Just focus on tuning the set up and getting the most out of it. The race track will be the real dyno.

You should have that much power says who? I guess I don't under stand what you are saying about gaining 150. If similar combos to yours are making 250hp at the wheels then you may or may not make that much. There are alot of variables on a chassis dyno. They are a tuning tool, not a penis extender. A friend of mine has a 66 Chevy II with a 555 BBC. At one dyno he made 630hp at the wheels (give or take a few, I don't remember the exact number) but at another chassis dyno he made 567hp at the wheels.

well the mustang dyno is easily skewed - many tuners "sell rwhp numbers" My question was this, if my car is making 250 now on a given dyno, then I should look to gainanother 150 - giving me a total of 400 rwhp.

or just put on 10lbs w/ air to air cooler and it makes what it makes

I'd make a base run on whatever dyno you go to next and go from there. Use your base run to tune with and note your increase. I really wouldn't be too concerned with how much power it made the last time you dynoed it.
