batter corrosion

so i always have to jump my batter and havent had the chance to get it tested cause i dont want to be driving around with a bad battery, so i was going to take it out today when i noticed that there corrosion and grease all over the clamps and terminals so when i unbolted the clamps the lines cant come off. whats the best way to clean them up so i can get the lines off?

pour a can of coke on the terminals until the corrosion is gone and then wipe them off. And if you want to keep them from becoming corroded take a penny and silicone it between the 2 terminals. U will need a new penny from time to time but its better than having corroded terminals

Using coke will end with stickiness over the place, you can very cheaply get battery terminal cleaners from auto part stores.

To prevent it, you should use lithium grease on the positive terminal, negative should be fine.
