I am running 30 psi. on my 94 mustang Gt. How much pressure drop on cold tires from say seventy five outside temp. to the fifties? When I operate the car cold with thirty psi. the car drives well. After I have been driving for several minutes even better. When the temp. has dropped like this morning the car has 27.5 psi. and is very difficult to drive as it wanders everywhere with a passion. I have a set of 03 seventeen by nine cobra rims with 275/40 all around Firestione Fuzions.

I usually go with 80% of the manufacturers max pressure rating.... most tires are rated for 45lbs so that would be 36lbs hot (after the car has been on the road a few minutes).

i launched my old camaro a 9.20 sec street car off the trans brake. the tires pressures were different and when it stuck it pulled mt to the wall hard. i got about 6 inches from killing the right side of my car. anyways tires resssure is a great thing to watch.
