Very unusual engine problem on an 88 trans am?
The unusual problem is when I start the engine sometimes, the check engine light stays on. When it's on, the engine starts loping and has less power. most of the time the light stays off but I shut the engine off for a about a minute and start it up again,

If you're not already a member, go to ThirdGen.org. It's a good third-gen fbody site. They can probably help you.
