Eibach springs

Hey Im planning to lower my v6. Everyone seems to say the eibach pro kit spings are the way to go. My concern is that on the american muscle web site it says that the eibach springs lower the gt 1.5 inches and the v6 1.1 inches. Is the difference really that big? I want 1.5 inches of drop and I am worried that if i only get 1.1 it will not be worth the effort. Thanks

You don't want a lot of drop. It can get bouncy.
The sportline series from Eibach will lower it more, but you will kill your ride quality.
The Pro-kit is a very goob balance between performance and comfort.
The 1.1 drop will be noticable... Stick with the Pros for a DD.

Been there, done that. I wanted the extreme drop too. Hated it.

Im not looking for an extreme drop, but 1.1 does not sound like much...lack of experience on my part. Ill go with the pro springs and of course an alignment. Thanks for the help.

I used to sell autoparts. I would spend about half my checks back in the store buying parts for my car, just for this exact purpose. So I could tell ppl what happens with product A and B what the differance is between them.

I really think you'll like the Pro's. I sold some to a buddy with a 97 'Stang V6 'bout a year ago. He loves 'em... :wink

just put some sportlines on a buddy's 05 v6 and it looks great. just a bit lower than my gt with the pro kit. so i would say it is the same kit for either if you have the 05 & up.

Is there anything else I will have to do if I use the Pro-kit? I hear you need to change other stuff too if you lower the car.

Typically, an alignment is all you'll need. The drop isn't severe enough that it requires the cam bolts to be replaced with an aftermarket type. Typically... Thats not a guarantee, but odds are in your favor that there's enough play in the strut to correct any alignment issues...

you can put only the spring on but the higher spring rate will wear out the stock shocks and struts faster. see sig for prokit

bilstein is known to be one of the best. even MM uses them on their road race cars. i run the tokico illumina 5 ways on mine. they let me corner carve or drag ace.

yeah i was looking at the tokico set cus they have springs, shocks and struts all together, for a 1.2" drop i think...which would pretty be exactly what i'd want, in one easy package. I don't go road coursing...are they good for a DD? I'd want an at least somewhat smooth ride, as long as it's not worse than stock I guess.
