Question

ok so no ones helping me?

This is my third post on this and no one seems to be able to either understand me or has any kind of input that will help me. I am trying to convert ONLY the front turn signal halogen bulbs to leds AND BLINK at normal speed. I dont want to put in my leds and have it just blink fast as if the car has a burned out blinker. I have tried 2 types of resistors and had no luck. I made sure to put the resistors in-line on the flashing wire only not on the ground and not on the continuous running light line/parking light line. Out of the 2 types of in-line resistors i have 1 is a 50w 6ohm resistor the other is definately a different ohm but i cant remember exactly it might just be higher watt my buddy told me and i didnt write it down. He used his meter on it I dont have one mine broke. So i need help please if anyone would please actually help me would be nice if not i suppose that just noeone knows how to get these leds to work in my 07 mustang. They are 68smd leds you can pretty much google them and just look for 68 led 3157 bulb type and that should give you a really good idea of the bulb type im trying to use but no one anywhere around here considering its western NC knows where to start they all say a different relay but the feedback ive read these new mustangs dont even use a relay its the smart box junction. And I cant seem to get any feedback from anyone on here who can actually go on the right subject of it or even start to reply?

This is the bulbs: 2 x Car Bulbs 3157 68-LED SMD White Turn/Tail Light For Sale

and this is the resistor that i know the info on :

PLEASE HELP ME!!! ANYONE!

the only way to get them to work is to get a flasher made for low voltage LEDs, and in doing that you will have to convert the rear blinkers also. Theres no way to have just the front LED and rears be halogen. Putting resistors in line wont do anything since LEDs are already low voltage.

i read the first part... you need a resistor in order to make the turn signal relay not think that the bulb itself is out. cars will blink really fast if the bulb is "faulty" typically due to low amperage, but since LED's consume so much less, the car reads it as a low amperage bulb, since well, no one makes cars with LEDS in them with the low amperage to begin with!

so like i said, slap some resistors on there. superbrightleds.com i think is where i got all of my stuff, & its all built right into the modules!

Sounds like good advice. No easy way to seperate the circuits.

Socomfreak I just happened across this thread. Did you ever figure it out? I think your problem is that you put the resistor in line. It needs to be put to ground and the flashing wire like this LED load resistors, wiring diagram
