150k miles, 2003 mustang gt 5spd. Motor runs like a champ, just snapped the trans and awaiting the new one to arrive to get her back on the street. So all in all, 1 transmission, 2 clutches, 2 coils, replaced spark plugs for fun, New fuel pump, Fuel filter, 2 wheel front wheel bearings, 2 sets of break pads, 2 rotors, Alternator, Light switch relay, Turn signal relay, 4 speakers, and A lot of money in gas (:

Whatever you do, only, and I mean ONLY, use motorcraft alternators. I went through 3 Ultima (o'reilly stocks em) alternators in 2 months. The cheap ultimas have a lifetime warranty, but you will need to use it a lot. Thankfully O'reilly's made it right because after the third one, I told them I wanted a full refund, and they gave me back my cash and recommended me to a competitor parts store that actually did stock motorcraft alternators.

I have roughly 148,xxx miles on my 99. only major work done was a rear caliper, the exhaust manifold cracked and the battery died. Ive only owned it since late 2007, so I dont know what the PO had done to it.
Oil changes every 6K miles or once a year(in storage from Nov-Mar/Apr) and yes I did throw the M112 on the stock engine without even doing a compression test. crossing my fingers and hoping it lasts at least 3 months.

94 gt with somewhere over 200k on it. My odometer stopped at 197,000
I bought it just before the odometer stopped but the previous owner kept immaculate records. Just basic maintenance. If only he took care of the outside like he did the mechanical parts

102K on mine. Have owned it for 2 1/2 years and I only need to replace is the alternator which I pulled from a junkyard for 25 bucks and an exhaust manifold which I replaced with longtubes. Runs great and I have done alot of butchering modding my car.

2005, got it last November. 98k miles and road trip next week so it will hit 100k when I get back. No big issues with the car itself. I did exhaust, cai, tune, TLOK, and attempted gears but he installer botched that. It was very clean when I got it, the interior was cloth and in good condition but I def put some wear on it moving and loading things in and out of it.
Normal maintenance for a 2005 is spark plugs and wires and fuel filter at 100k. No issues doing them what so ever, even easier than my last car. Did it all at 97k. BTW my last car had 230k on it when I sold it which was in Feb, took a week to sell on CL. Can't believe I pulled 2200 out of a 1999 Pontiac with that kind of mileage on it. Had tons of calls and offers for up to 3k to hold it. Bad iPhone pic, will take new ones once I get a chance to use my polisher on it.

^^ Probably one of the higher mileage S197's I've seen. Not bad for an '05. haha
Rolled over 117k tonight. Shot this video of her last week. ![]()

I thought it was high for an s197 also. The auction reports say average on an 05 is 89k currently so it's not that far over average, not everyone babies their cars like we do here.
It looks nice because I think it's been reprinted, having the car on the rack and a mechanic talked to me about it. Ford colors but most likely repainted Sent from my Autoguide iPad app |
