Fuel System Cleaning
I heard the best way to clean fuel lines is to use the cleaner that comes in a can and screws on the threaded valve of the fuel lines. You first remove the fuse for fuel pump, screw the can in place, start car, let can empty and car should die, pop fuse back in and start her back up. The Ford dealership doesn't carry this stuff anymore. They didn't hesitate to tell me they'd do it for me for $150. EVERYWHERE I've been said they've quit carrying it; more than likely to force you to have a mechanic to do it. Anyone know where to get this stuff online? Supposedly 7-$8 a can when AutoZone used to carry it. Read an article saying that anything you have to add to your gas tank is crap and not nearly as effective. This true?

Honestly I've never heard of this method. But a lot of the fuel cleaners you can pick up at auto parts store are pretty crappy. If you want something that's going to clean like a champ, pick up a can of Seafoam. Originally developed as a fuel system cleaner but you can also use it to clean out carbon build-up within your engine.

I work at Sears as a tech and we do fuel system cleanings that way. Im pretty sure if you go to a Sears auto center they will let you buy the cleaning products. But their not exactly cheap, I tried to buy them myself once and I think it was around $80 for everything in the box. But it includes engine detergent (which you pour in your crankcase), fuel system cleaner and something else I cant really remember. Its called ZOOM if you wanna look it up.
