Intake manifold crack repair?

Im going to swap pi cams and intake onto my 97 gt. My friend has a 1999 intake manifold that has a hairline crack in it that he said he would give me for 20 bucks. Would I be able to repair this easily or should I just get a nice used one for around $100? I just figured it would be nice to get a intake for 20 and repair it for a few bucks

where is the hair line crack? if its a PI intake with the plastic cross over that always cracks, you dont want that one anyway. You want a PI intake that has the aluminum cross over

it has an inch long hairline crack in it on the back left side right near the injector, which years have the aluminum collector? I havent actually seen this one yet so Im not sure if it does. this is off of a 99. Im getting the cams from one thats 01-04.

I would avoid any intake with any sort of crack. Its not worth doing the job twice to save a few bucks.
