Header Manifold Studs
Alright....in my endless quest to fix my exhaust leak from my damn mac o/r h pipe. I've read that I need to remove the factory studs and just replace them with either bolts and a lock washer or another stud. This is because they have a shoulder on them that won't let me get the pipes tight enough.
My question is...how much of a pain in the ass will it be to do this? Is it gonna be a total bitch to get the old studs out with the car on jackstands? If I can't fix this exhaust leak I'm considering selling my o/r h as much as I love how it sounds. |

Drill the holes on the flange big enough to fit over the shoulder on the stud and use washers to space the retaining nuts.

Yeah I was thinking that. A lot easier than removing a stud then
