Should I swap the housing and everything when swapping a MAF sensor back to stock?

The crappy JET maf I have wont work for my sct tune and I got a stock one from a junkyard the other day. I only swapped the sensor and it ran like crap so I set my car back to stock tune and put the Jet maf back on and my fuel pump wouldnt prime. Tested my CCRM and it was fried. So had to replace it and the car runs now on the stock tune. So Im pretty sure the junkyard gave me a sensor off of a Grand Marquis or something thinking I wouldnt notice. So Im going to a different salvage yard this week and pulling one off of a car myself to be sure. Does it matter if I only swap the actual sensor or should I swap the entire housing? I kinda wanted to keep the housing since its bigger and is the same diameter as my CAI.

Just the sensor matters, they have their own little chamber areas to direct flow as needed.
