Insrument Panal removel


I need to replace some dash bulbs. How do I remove it on my 87 GT ?

removed upper and lower column covers, two bolts hold the plastic cover assy, and on the right side you'll see a metal bar, youll need to remove the screw securing it, 2 screws on top (one can come out with stubby, and the other with those s shaped screwdrivers). pull the housing out enough to reach behind and disconnect the flasher, defrost, hdlamps, and fog lamps connectors. pull plastic housing out, 4 screws hold dash assy in, remove, pull assy out and disconnect the two harness and speedo cable and its out! reverse order to install but NOTE: when re-installing swith connectors on outer plastic assy, fords connectors are known to not hold the wires in so make sure the wires dont push out when reconnecting or else flashers and turn signals wont work...
