Hood Decal on Mach 1

I hope this is the right place to post this question, if not forgive me.... So I recently bought a Mach 1 and I'm going to have to replace the decal on the hood because its chipping off. Problem is, its leaving most of the glue on the hood. How do I get the glue off without scratching the paint up?

Ive used :

do NOT use:

the second one will eat through EVERYTHING it touches. its like frickin acid in a colored can.

I apply the first one to a soft rag, the rub on it. should take anything off thats left. You can also apply it directly and let it soak on.

Bug and Tar remover is good too. I use it for alot of things, like removing rubber after racing.

It's a nice decal but it is glossy black which is why I wouldn't put it on a Mach1

Never been much of a decal guy, but in this case I think it looks better with it. Doesn't look bad without either. I would give it a couple weeks and see if it doesn't grow on you as is. At least the current hood is unique.
