Removing surface rust
I have a .020 under 04 cobra crank that I'm trying to sell but it has some surface rust on it from sitting in my garage for awhile. Whats the best way to remove it?

I'd use the least aggressive material possible. If its light, try steel wool.

Thats what I'm gonna try. Theres none on the journals, its just mainly on the counterweights. Couldn't I put some oil on them after I clean em up to keep the rust off?
