starting problems
Good evening, I went to start up my car tonight for the first time in a year or so and the starter wouldn't stop cranking. I turned off the ignition and it still was cranking. I pulled out the key and it's still cranking! I yelled for my son to pull the battery cable, it's the only way it would stop cranking. My question is: Would it be the starter relay on the firewall, or maybe the starter itself? Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what kind of car you have, we would check/change out the ignition switch first, then change the solonoid, I doubt it could be the starter itself since the it needs the voltage to keep operating.

thanks for the advice. The car is actually a 1970 Torino Cobra SCJ, with c-6, and it's the first time I've ever run across this problem. Thanks!
