cant figure this one out.

alright the car is a 1993 Lx 5.0 manual.
the car wont start by turning the key and holding the clutch in.
fuel pump primes, theres not even a click at the solenoid.
and the solenoid is new, just replaced it, cleaned the connections, have to touch the starter solenoid bolts together to get it to run.. and when i do that i dont have to press the clutch to start it that way, any ideas?
no bad fuses either. stumped.
any help is appreciated.

is the start switch wire pushing 12 volts when you turn the key on to start? it should be a yellow wire. i think.

don't have a voltmeter available, but the fuse in that link looks good,
the car battery was dying because a bad ignition switch which kept the accessories on when the key was out, so i replaced the switch now everything turns off , bu the car still wont start by key, have to jump the solenoid, and i know its grounded good, i went through with a wire brushed and cleaned everything up...

try to arc the wire while someone else turns the key on. if it arcs then you have 12 volts. im almost certain that's what it is.

Spend a couple bucks on a 12v test light and see if the "start" wire going to the solenoid has power.

might be as simple as your Clutch Safety Switch.
