cant figure this one out.
alright the car is a 1993 Lx 5.0 manual.
the car wont start by turning the key and holding the clutch in. fuel pump primes, theres not even a click at the solenoid. and the solenoid is new, just replaced it, cleaned the connections, have to touch the starter solenoid bolts together to get it to run.. and when i do that i dont have to press the clutch to start it that way, any ideas? no bad fuses either. stumped. any help is appreciated. |

is the start switch wire pushing 12 volts when you turn the key on to start? it should be a yellow wire. i think.

don't have a voltmeter available, but the fuse in that link looks good,
the car battery was dying because a bad ignition switch which kept the accessories on when the key was out, so i replaced the switch now everything turns off , bu the car still wont start by key, have to jump the solenoid, and i know its grounded good, i went through with a wire brushed and cleaned everything up... |

try to arc the wire while someone else turns the key on. if it arcs then you have 12 volts. im almost certain that's what it is.

Spend a couple bucks on a 12v test light and see if the "start" wire going to the solenoid has power.

might be as simple as your Clutch Safety Switch.
