Did you pump them a few times before trying to test drive? If you dont there will be slack between the pads and rotors and the first time or two you try to use them they will be really loose till they pump up. :wink

yeh gonna need to re-bleed them, this time make sure you start with the side farthest from the master cylinder, Passenger Rear > Drivers Rear > Passenger Front > Drivers Front. Make sure you keep pumping the brakes until the fluid has no bubbles, make sure you don't let the resivor go dry. also once it is going clear you will want to hold the brake petal in while a friend closes the bleeder valve.

Did you remove any of the brake lines or hoses when you put the new pads on? If you didn't remove any lines or hoses you won't have to bleed the brakes unless you have a leak somewhere.

if you do what he said, your brakes will feel like new, that is unless you do have a leak.

How to bleed brakes

One man kit instructions:

Insert the nipple LOL into the bleeder valve, open the valve pump the brakes until the bubbles are gone, close the valve, go to the next wheel.

Empty the little bottle on the bleed kit when it gets full, always keep the master cyl full or you will be starting all over again. Air gets in the line when you let the master cyl go dry.

Start with passenger rear, then driver rear, then pasenger front, then driver front.

Brake fluid will eat the hell out of paint......... Not immediately, but if you get ANY on the paint, wash it off immediately.

Have fun, and if in doubt, take it to a shop. It is not worth your safety if you don't feel confident in doing this
