stupid car troubles

Lately my car has been having some minor issues. At first it was that my battery was dead. I jumped it and then it was fine. then a few days later I had to jump it 2 more times. there was battery acid all over one of the connectors so I cleaned it and thought that was the end of it. maybe I would have to get a new battery. Then when I started my car it was idling really low. and then it just started sputtering and it died. Then it would turn over and start fine, but immediately lose power and die. So I didnt drive it all yesrerday. Now today its idling really high. Not sure what the problem is.. any help?

I would first replace the battery. It sounds like a post is cracked/leaking. Then I would check to see that the cables are not corroded. If it's just the ends that are corroded you can cut them off and replace the terminals as long as you have enough reach left. It'll be hard to diagnose another problem with a faulty battery so that's where I'd start, just my 2 cents.

MY dome light stays on when driving. When stopped (key out) it takes about a half hour for it to turn off. Also, if there is a sensor, where is it? HELP.

Try messing with your dimmer switch and I believe the switch is in the door jamb by the door hinges. I own a 2000 so it might be different.
