Ok, at $3.00 a gallon I didn't just empty out my tank. But rather I drove my gas out, then went to the track to add race fuel and changed my plugs to a much hotter plug. I seem to have close to the same time and with 87 versus 89. And repeated that with 89 - 93 and race fuel that they supply at the track. I really didn't slow down but didn't really speed up. I know my car reacted to the race fuel just as effecient as the 93 octane.

Quite honestly, I would run race fuel to drive to Brookshires if I could afford it LOL but ohh well. I loev how that race fuel smells too. Especially after doing a pass right after one of those top fuel racers using methenol... MMMMMM!!! Makes me want to sleep on the left side of the track in my sleeping bag for the night.(Yeah that side seems much sticker thant he right :wink )

Why would you change to a much hotter plug? How bad did it run? Something stinks here.....

Top fuel runs 80% nitromethane. Top alcohol runs methonal.
