Exhaust

Ok so I have a set of mufflers on the way, but they are a different diameter than my current ones. I currently have 2" exhaust all the way and these mufflers are 2.5" inlet/outlet. If I used reducers to make the 2" exhaust fit the mufflers would they work ok? I don't want to run into any problems end up losing HP because of the size difference.

just take it too an exhaust shop, and have them expand the smaller pipes.

Well all I would have to buy is the reducers or make the mufflers fit. I have a welder here at the house, so I would swap the mufflers myself. But I will call the muffler shop I always use and see what he would charge.

Buy a set of High flow cats, then have the exhaust shop fab up a custom h/x pipe full 2.5 inches. It would probably be a lot cheaper compared to making something work with your current stock exhaust, only to be changed out later if you ever decide to change out your mid-pipe/headers.
