also, i was told to cut a half inch coil off the front cause it will sit higher then the back. Should i do this? I know from ppl that if you cut your springs it will not be level anymore thus causing sitting problems. Thanks guy

I wouldn't cut a set of new aftermarket springs, but if you do want to cut them, don't just lop it off, make the area where you cut it off replicate how the stock piece looked. If it's flat, find a way to make the spring flat after you cut it.

Yeah, there's a huge debate over cutting springs. I'm on the side that says cutting springs is fine so long as you understand what you're doing and why cut springs have the bad rap that they do.

I'd imagine that any shop is going to say not to do it if for no other reason than the liability involved.

If it is a progressive rate spring, I wouldn't cut it. Pretty sure the pro kit is progressive.
Linear rate is a different story.

DO NOT CUT YOUR EIBACHS!

Eibachs are progressive-rate springs which means the more they compress, the more stiff they get. If you remove the "softer" portion of that progression you are going to be riding on some VERY stiff springs.

Put the springs in and see how they look. If you want it lower or higher in the front, play with the isolators to find which combination of having them or taking them out will get you the best look.

Did you buy Caster/camber plates for the springs? You are going to need some way to adjust camber for the lower ride height.

Just remove the isolators first before cutting the springs. The ride will suck afterwards trust me.

OP put them in and see how they look after a few weeks with the isolators in...if you find the fronts not going lower then pull the front isolators. its not hard to pull springs so changing isolators in and out isn't a big deal.

If you take the original coils out of a 96-04 GT Mustang........cut 3/4 of a coil from the
bottom of the front........and 1 full coil from the top of the rear........using a dremmel
tool and a cup of ice water.......the car will drop 1-1.5" and sit level........I know....i've
done it.......but as for cutting on aftermarket lowering springs......DONT DO IT......i've
done that also and ruined the spring.........

pretty much....but it's a dead thread so it might fall on dead ears. also welcome to the site

although your cutting measurements are either a bit off or you're using some really old springs that aren't holding up right...my last two stangs recieved 1.25 coils cut off the front and 1 coil off the back to recieve close to a 1.5" drop
