coolant/antifreeze question

Hello, I have the 2011 GT and as I've told a few guys here before I'm not very mechanically inclined. I've simply always been a Mustang Fan and finally got my dream car. The question I have is the user's manual said use 50/50 coolant so should I use regular Prestone and do the 50/50 collant water split myself or buy the more expensive Prestone 50/50 Antifreeze Coolant (Peak ready use)?

I ask as the manual warns (suggests?) to use Ford friendly brands like Motorcraft when it comes to oil, but in this case they didn't really say anything specific. There are many different ones like "Zerex" and some even say "green". The manual said something about not using a different color....but mine is more pinkish? Weird....

Pulled from the Manual verbatum:

DO NOT MIX different colors or types of coolant in your vehicle.
Make sure the correct coolant is used. DO NOT MIX recycled coolant
and new (unused) coolant together in the vehicle. Mixing of engine
coolants may harm your engine’s cooling system. The use of an
improper coolant may harm engine and cooling system components
and may void the warranty. Refer to Maintenance product
specifications and capacities in this chapter.

any help appreciated.

How old is your car? How many miles?
Coolant is good for a couple years, why are you messing with it?

I would buy what ever they sell at the Ford Dealer.

2011 GT 5.0 (12,000 miles) and I'm just thinking and wondering what brand I should/would use.

I'm not 100% on the warranty restrictions on your car but while it's still in the warranty window, I would suggest using the OEM Motorcraft to avoid any possible issues with the service department should something happen.
