Juice without a tuner?

Can you use a 100hp wet shot without a tuner? My GT has the stock tune right now.
I saw a guy at a car show with an 01 Cobra that had what looked like a wet shot that attached onto the fuel rail pressure port. Is that a common way to connect it?

yes you can do it, and its actually better because you can turn up the fuel to run with the nitrous and do a few other things like advance and retard timing

Thanks guys. I'm just trying to get an idea on how much to budget for a nitrous install. Just wasn't sure how critical it was on a wet shot.

I am currently running a 100 shot on a stock tune. When I drop the 200$ for dyno time and a SCT tune will I notice any difference from what I have now? I have the SCT tuner (without the nitrous tune) and full bolt on’s minus headers and heads. Or will It just be safer to have the nitrous tune?

getting a tune for my setup with the nitrous allowed me to get an extra 40 hp.

and I would recommend getting the tune. last thing you want to do is damage the engine. Plus, what is cheaper?? a $400 tune or a $1500 block?

100 shot on these cars isnt shit. i put 125 to it without a tune just to see if it would do anything. i ran several bottles through it without a problem.

I gained 22hp at the wheels when I went and got my car dyno tuned. The tuner told me the reason is because they can get a more precise tune all the way through the power band than a hand held can.
