caster/camber plates

Can a 99-04 Mustang lowered say around an inch be aligned without buying caster/camber plates?

you should be okay just lowering one inch, but i would probably go ahead and get the c/c plates anyway.

each car is different. some will need it and others wont. just get some to be safe. if you wont run coilovers just get the 3 bolt design.

you shouldn't need c/c plates until you drop 1.5" or lower and after 1.5" I personally think you need something more drastic then c/c plates

Thanx for the help guys. I was thinking about going with Steeda Sport Springs. I think they're a 1 to 1 1/4 drop. I'll probably install them and if it needs them go from there.

Agreed! I'm now curious... as I've got a drop greater than 1.5.... using MM CC plates (4 bolt) I can not get the car aligned completely!

Toe and Camber are perfect... but Caster wont go below 5* positive.. and my CC plates are maxed!

you may want to add a bumpsteer kit like the Steeda one. i put it on when i lowered my car in May. it's not expensive and pretty easy to install.

just max out both casters and try to put them as equal as possible. if you cant put them equal put alitle more on the right tire. when i say a little more i mean like .2 degrees. you should be fine your tires wont wear out and your car will be stable azz fuck on high speeds...

o sorry guys i haven't been on this side of things ( forums ) drastic is about 1.5-1.25" and lower but they obviously don't hurt to have (c/c) anyways look into a bumper steer kit or http://www.ashentep.com/webpages/alignment.htm try that out
