Opinions on Manaul Valve Bodies for a 4R70W

Any recommendations on a manual valve body for 4R70W?

I have been looking at Lentech, PA and Silverfox.

Brad at Bradco has only had one experience with Silverfox and it wasn't good. Brad suggested either Lentech or PA

I'm leaning towards the Lentech, but wanted to know if anyone has any experience with the PA unit.

I had a Lentech AOD in my 88. It was a manual valve body with electric OD yet it would still shift like normal if you left it in drive. Worked like a dream and an awesome company to work with.

No offense, but I don't think you had a full manual valve body if you could leave it in drive.

I have had two guys get back with me, that race quite a bit more than I do, and they have both recommended Freddie Brown. Valve body is priced right in there with the rest.

No offense, but I never said full manual valve body. I guess its my fault for not calling it a manual valve body with automatic shift capabilities or a strip Terminator with out brake.

Went with the Freddie Brown manual valve body, and bought his harness with relays and switches for the OD, Lock-up, and transbrake (if i use a transbrake in the future). I hit the OD button when in 3rd and it goes into OD. Pulled shifter out of 3rd and the OD goes off. Just keeps a person from forgetting to toggle on/off and trans jumping from 2nd to OD.

Waiting on Bradco to finish up the convertor.

Bought this shifter - eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
