Suspension And Install


Hey im getting new rims soon and mine as well lower it some.

First of all how difficult is the install if you have never done it before?

And second ill have 20's... so what would be a good drop? and what kit?

1.75 in the front... and 2 in the rear. You can do it yourself if you have time. Just go to autozone and borrow the tools.

OK is it probably best to do it when i switching out my rims?
And will that be too low of a drop? i dont want to be scraping the group every mile

Doesn't matter when you do it. The drop i mentioned is perfect.

What do you mean by it doesnt matter? Wont it mess up my car a little? im just wondering if it would be safer to go less low

Are those 20'? if so what size tires? if you know

Also what kit should i use? and should i take it to a shop for the install?

That drop is perfect. You could drop it less if you wanted, but it wouldn't look as good. In the picture it is 20's. They are 245/35/20's up front and 295/30/20's in the rear. I would suggest going 255 in the front. If you want a link to those exact tires see the post i made in your other thread in the 2005+ section. You should go with the BMR lowering kit. Just do a google search. The kit includes everything you need. It's got the lowering springs and adjustable panhard bar and more. You don't need to drop it the same time you get your rims. I would... but you don't have to.
