Door Molding won't stay Glued.

How do I make my outside door molding stay down?

It's a 1989 Mustang GT, I washed and rinsed the area with full strength Simple Green and let it fully dry. I glued it using automotive molding glue and clamped it for 36 hours, it worked for a week or so then it began to curl away again and stretch the glue. It didn't curl up as much as it was before, but wtf?

Any advice or tips.

leave it in the sun for a few days till its straight, then use 3M double sided tape, best stuff to get

but i still have the old glue in there.

take some 3M adhesive remover and a paint scraper and take it off
