vortech v2 Kit
My car has a V2 kit and I am curious I know quite a few GT's on here have them what does it come stock with tune wise. Does it come with a tuner or a chip do they flash it or what? Im the second owner and cannot find what the original owner had done So what does the stock kit come with? This is on a 2002 mustang GT

If he bought a comptete kit from vortech he has a chip from them... if you take out the kick panel on the passenger side you can take out the computer and see if there is a chip installed.

Hey Chris I watched the video of your car and our set it up very similar. I have shorty headers, off road pipe on the way although im only pushing 9psi. I was wondering have you had yours dyno tuned and if so what numbers did you put down? Hows the 2v handling 12# I thought about bumping up but was worried.

The 2V is fine with the 12#'s... I am going TDY August 5th - August 17th and the fallowing weekend I am getting it dynoed...I am also installing my intercooler sometime before that as well... I have a wideband to keep an eye on my A/F... Should have numbers and such in late August... |

Yea all planned mine is getting dyno tuned first week of august. I already have the intercooler/aftercooler whichever comes with the kit. But I will let you know what mine makes at 9psi. It should be interesting to see what your makes vs mine

At 12#'s my blower in-efficient...Its made for more boost...If you have the S-Trim or SQ-Trim then you are more efficient then myself in the lower boost apps... Best of luck bro... I look foward to your numbers... |

Hey Chris I got the car dynoed and got some numbers now...its quite surprising most people think. It made 390 RWHP although, I was pegging the MAF at 4800! Im getting a lightning 90MM maf now and it should put out 410 if not more we are suspecting....Thats pretty strong I thought for this setup. Most people I saw were laying down 380 with just my standard 8-10psi pulley.

Damn bro that is some nice numbers...
I will have my numbers once I get back from this TDY... I run the 90mm LIghtning Maf and have not had any issues...Make sure your tuner gets to see the car after you put the maf on it because he needs to tweak the tune for it... |

BossMan, I have shorty headers, Mac off road H-pipe flowmaster mufflers. Vortech V2 supercharger kit w/aftercooler. 3.73 gears All the other stuff is non-power stuff. I am pretty surprised with the numbers too I cant wait to get this thing back on the dyno and see what it lays down once I get the leak fixed at my headers which is happening this weekend then im putting on the 90mm lightning mass air flow and it should lay down more above 400 rwhp most likely. I'll post what it lays down here in a couple weeks.
