Cams on a 4.6

Hello all
I got a awsome set of headers and Xpipe on my 07Mustang GT. It sounds great up to 4000rpm But then its just one loud sound after that.
I have 3 quistions
1. will a cam make it sound better up in the high rpm range?
2. what is the best cam out there?
3. what is the most agressive cam I can use with out haveing to use a stall on my automatic?
Im looking for the 60's sound and the extra horsepower is a plus.
Thanks
Gary

I like my VT cams.

anything over stage 1 and your going to need to do springs as well
(not lowering springs)

the car is going to sound raspy in the higher rpm's because of the Xpipe you have.. no way around it besides getting an H pipe.

your not going to get the pushrod sound with a mod motor man.

it's not too bad.

I have done them before.

but I haven't tried them on a modular motor. which is why I took it to the shop and watched.

pushrods are a cake walk.
