the rear 2 o2's will be worthless but a set of mil eliminators for the rears to keep your CEL from coming on... the front 2 will be fine. and when inspection time comes around you are going to have to put your stock h pipe back on.

If the CEL light is off, you should be able to pass a state emissions test without removing the exhaust system and restoring it to stock. That's IF they only hookup the OBD II connector and look for OBD II codes. If they snuff your tailpipe with an EGA, all bets are off. Illinois has went to OBD II testing only. Nobody is smart enough at the test stations to look at an exhaust system and recognize a modded one. O2 simulators work - I'm a happy customer - for the post-cat ones.

I've had an email exchange with the state and federal EPA on cars without cats and my gut tells me that there is not enforcement in place at the individual level. Ever heard of anyone stopped for no cats? Nobody will put that in writing.... Try this if you aren't convinced about enforcement. Try and turn somebody in for running no cats. Who do you call? Bet you get shuffled all over on the phone.
California may be different but I don't live there and am not subject to their laws or have an knowledge of their laws.

CA is the BAD when it comes to their testing...the worst in the country to be exact.

I recently took my 98' Cobra in and got new exhaust put on and my CEL has come on and stayed on. I assumed it was the 02 sensors on the back end but I wasnt gonna sweat it. Now after reading this, I am beginning to worry about it.
