Check engine light!

alright so i wanna put longtubes and/or performance mid-pipe and is it true that if you do either that the check engine light comes on? i don't want that thing on so what would i have to do to get it off? also, a shop will be doing the installs so will they take care of the light?

If your getting a Off road mid pipe you will need Mil eliminators or a tune to take the Light off. But if you get a midpipe with high flow cats then you dont have to worry about it. As for the shop taking it off....no clue..ask.

I just got back from having my exhaust put on my 02 vert.. had a custom o/r h pipe put on with flowmasters... cut behind the y pipe.. anyways they put on free o2 sensors for me and now my light doesnt come on.. charged me $350 for it all... awesome tips to add.

Just gotta look for the right shop that wont screw you or your car.
