cant find Hissing sound!!

Put on a off road x pipe. fit great. put some permatex sealer on the both outlets of the x pipe to the inlets of the stock "catback". I sounds like a well a cat hissing really loud during acceleration. I have so clue where its at. Sounds like its coming from the mufflers?

I was thinking about put seafoam in my car to clean it out a little and that would probably show my leak wouldnt it? thanks

have someone squirt a little oil in intake while you watch exhaust.that will make it show up.

You can also have a friend gently place a rag over one exhaust tip at a time and rev it up a little. No need to completely block the exit off, just enough to make the hiss louder so you can locate it.

i found the leak. Its in a totally different spot where i thought i was. Its coming from the header flange on the passenger side. I used the old gasket, it looked good, but i guess it rotted away or tore. So i have to go the the dealership to get one. also the x pipe seems to be flush against the header but is there a posibility that the "stops" on the bolts on the header flange are making it from not being completely tight?

It's possible, especially if the seal is worn or cracked.
