Exhaust hangers
Where is a good place to find exhaust hangers for a '96 Mustang. I am replacing my 3.8 with a 4.6L and I need new hangers for the exhaust. I can find them for the late models but not a '96. Also what do you guys think of the MAC catback exhaust system. I read an article over at mustangworld.com and it sounds pretty good.

Those look good, but they are only for the rear of the car. what about at the mufflers and the mid pipe. I thought there were more supports than just at the back

^^^ no those are for a 99-04.
your mid pipe will be supported a bracket on the trani cross member. if you get a cat back system it should come with new hangers for the mufflers, my magnapacks did. enlarge the pic and the muffler hangers are on the bottom left. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku |

That brings up another question i've been meaning to ask. My motor is a 2000 and I have a midpipe for the 2000, I am putting it in a '96. The 2000 midpipe does not hang from the trany mount. I really don't want to replace the midpipe now. Should I buy a catback system for the '96 and add some hangers or buy a catback for the 2000 and would that fit the rest of the way back? Thanks

You could have an exhaust shop fab something up for you. Or anyone who can weld could do it.
