depends on where you go. Art Walker on Lynnhaven won't fail you for o/r pipes from what i've heard. i take my car to Little Creek Auto Center on Diamond Springs near Shore Drive. never had a problem there. for the most part, though here it's more of a visual inspection, no sniffer.

yeah, i had heard some stuff about Art Walker, too. i don't know personally cause i never took my car there. the two guys i know that have used them didn't have any problems. like i said, i go to Little Creek Auto Center. i even took my Explorer there. i put a brush guard on it about a week before it was due for inspection 2 years ago, and the dealership ( i got free inspections) failed it because of the brush guard. so it took it off, got it passed, then put it back on. went to Little Creek the next year cause i knew the Mustang passed, so i didn't expect any problems over a brush guard.

Inspections/inspectors are all different. Some will hit you for everything ,while others wont even bother to lift your car in the air ,lol.

Some of them just wanna hurry up and get inside to some air conditioning so they "look" over everything ,while some may be on probation for poor performance etc. So they are gonna nail you.
