Don't buy Granatelli!!!
DON’T BUY GRANATELLI!!!! Read this before purchasing anything made by Granatelli Motor Sports. I bought a Granatelli cold air kit for my 2007 Mustang GT (the one that comes with it’s own MAF sensor). I carefully installed it, and got check engine lights. Granatelli had me send back the calibration harness and sent me a new one. I installed it again, same thing happens again! I call them up and they tell me the cold air kit just doesn’t work with some vehicles and that I will get a full refund. I ship it back to the vendor (this is what they told me to do), and the vendor calls me and tells me they can’t refund my money because the kit is used. Well duh! I had to install it to find out it didn’t work (what is this, a Dilbert cartoon?). Long story short, they ship it back to Granatelli who now tells me they are charging a restocking fee to the vendor. The vendor then of course is charging me a 20% restocking fee!!! I tell Grantelli that they told me I’d be getting a full refund. They deny this and also deny telling me that the kit doesn’t work with some cars. This is total BS!!! Never buy anything from Grantelli, you’ll be sorry!

If you would have done your homework you would have known that to be a problem with them in the past.

We really do try to make everyone happy but sometimes you just can’t please everyone. As the manufacture of several products we have to please all the people all the time when it comes to the internet. THAT IS A TOUGH ONE let me tell you. In the case of TritonTR20, you are selling this story everywhere possible so you make it hard to want to help you. I (as owner of GMS and designer to the CAI kit) would have been happy to help you and I still am to some extent. I have a hard time understanding why anyone here would tell you sometimes we can’t make them work - that is never the case. You then took a problem that D’Agostino had (where he purchased from) and made it your problem and GMS's problem. You get more attention when you bash on the internet but you get better service when you are calm. So what you accomplished was making us look bad with "not so truthful info". Since you put one for word what you wrote to the BBB, here was our reply. August 23, 2007 Better Business Bureau - Complaint Department P.O. Box 129 Santa Barbara CA 93102 To Whom It May Concern: We are in receipt of your letter dated 8/13/2007. We apologize for the delayed response as I was out of town for the past 14 days. While Granatelli Motor Sports is a California corporation and Mr. William Brattain lives in California, he chose to purchase his product from a Florida company. Therefore, Mr. Brattain is not a Granatelli customer by law. While we certainly appreciate his support of the Granatelli brand product, his choice to return said products transpired between D’Agostino Racing and himself. Granatelli has sold well over 1000 of said product for 2005-2007 Mustang V8 applications, part number 410040 or 410010-P designating polished. Mr. Brattain alleges he was told by Granatelli that Granatelli would issue a full refund. This can not be the case as Granatelli can not issue a refund for a product we did not sell to Mr. Brattain. Furthermore Mr. Brattains desired settlement is for Granatelli to honor the warranty which we still stand ready to do. Certainly Granatelli can not speak for our dealers when it comes to how they chose to warranty any said product by way of sales refund in cash or store credit. Granatelli agreed to exchange components per our printed warranty and exchange policy http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/warranty.htm . In conclusion, Granatelli will honor our printed policy. For over 60 years Granatelli has been one of the most trusted names in the automotive aftermarket. I am sure Mr. Brittain misunderstood Ms. Mary Ann Hewitt if he recalls her telling him “the cold air kit just doesn’t work with some vehicles”. Rest assured we only want happy customers. If Mr. Brittains only remedy is a refund then he needs to take that up with the company he purchased said product from. As a fair compromise, Mr. Brittian claims he was docked $84.80 or 20% of his purchase price. Granatelli will send him a brand new kit from our inventory factory direct for $300 and we will absorb the state sales taxes and shipping charges. That means he ends up with all brand news parts for less then he claims to have paid D’Agostino and if in fact we can't make the product work then GMS will issue a full cash refund for the $300.00 he paid us. Regards, J.R. Granatelli CC: William Brattain – Sacramento CA |

Well i kinda have a complaint. I bought your coil over kit, and its a little noisey...
The kit seems to function fine, but was there not a less noisey spring you could have picked? I expected it to ride fine, which it doesnt - but the noiseness somewhat interfers with my enjoyment of the product (and no its not the bushings) |
