I always use the Motorcraft filters. The regular ones for my ddrivers and the HP-1 filter for the stang.

There really is no specific filter for a synthetic oil. I do know from experience that BOSCH filters work really well as they trap contaminants in the oil very effectively while still allowing more than sufficient oil flow throughout the engine. Currently, I am running a K&N Gold filter while running Royal Purple full synthetic and have had absolutely no problems.
