there really is no kind, you can make your own by flipping the stock shorties and welding flanges on them

your also gonna need a downpipe

or just buy a kit and not have to worry about all that

well if you get longtubes you cant run a turbo setup

If you buy long tubes, your better off getting an X pipe, sounds way better and you get a gain from it and worth the buy

stock exhaust=

just curios, you dont run LTs on a turbo because, it make less back pressure right? and the turbo feeds on back pressure? that right?

Turbo's do not like back pressure, thats why they need to be free flowing most of the time

Because turbos run off of the exhaust and need headers that work with them

I have an 07 GT with stock exhaust manifolds and cats on it, I make plenty of power and am 100% legal!

Although you will see better spool without cats...

well first of all you need to have an understanding of how the turbo works

how can you use long headers? that wud put the turbo under the car lol

the turbo's spool is spun from the exhuast that comes from the engine, and is connected to the end of the manifold/header

the downpipe is connected to the turbo and is where the exhaust travels after spinning the turbine. the downpipe is usually the same size or bigger than the rest of the exhaust to allow that free-flow of exhaust, whereas a header is usually smaller

maybe someone shud post up a "how turbos work" so they can understand

You can run turbo with longtubes.

Options are available : )

Here's what it would look like on an '05 Mustang....

You know this had to have been engineered by someone that went through the horrifying asspain of installing headers on a Mustang. I nearly punted a kitten into the sun when I was trying to install mine.
