Warranty Question

I just supercharged my car and it looks like my IAC went bad I am going to try and clean it today but if that doesn't work you think ford will replace it? I hear there are some gray area's when it come to mods on your car. thanks for the help.

It depends on the dealer and the mods you have done to your car. With a 'charger, they may not cover it but it doesn't hurt to try. You may want to try another dealer in the area if they don't cover it. Good luck.

Once they find out you've got a blower they won't warrantly any drivetrain parts... engine, transmission, rear end... nothing.

I can tell you that even though you may not tell them that you have a S/C, once the tech opens the hood, all bets are off when it comes to warranty work if you have done tht extreme of a modification unless it was installed by the dealer and warranted, which most dealers will not perform a modification of that nature unless it was ordered that way. The only option that you may have is if your friend that you mentioned is in fact a senior tech that can "overlook" the blower. I am sure you didn't want to hear that, but I hope that you can get the problem taken care of soon.

I would just buy the part to tell you the truth...At least if your tranny was to blow or rear-end go you could make it within "warranty specs" within a night if need be...

Not to mention that customer pay work pays better for a tech. He woul be screwing himself by overlooking the blower.
