where can i mount?
i have a 2006 mustang gt with a cia and shorty headers and i recently purchased a T04E t3/t4 turbocharger and i would like to know if i can mount that directly to the cia or do i have to bolt it to the block
ive had mustangs before but they've all been supercharged as opposed to turbocharged so im kinda new to the whole thing. and if can be mounted to the cia how much tubing would i need? can anyone help? |

The hot side bolts to the exhaust...The cold side goes to the intake... Most people put the turbo behind one of the front headlights or behind the front bumper cover...There is no tab on the block that says "Mount Turbo Here"...It is custom one off work for the most part... |

Umm... your gonna have a tough time fabbing a turbo system up for that '06 GT. From the piping to the supporting parts (injectors, tune, etc.) you've got alot of work ahead of you. It's really not practical to try a DIY job on that, with the fabbing etc. work and your obvious (not being insulting, just pointing it out) lack of understanding you'll never get it to work without help.
There are many companies that have either developed or working on a turbo system for those cars, your best bet is to drop $5-6k on one of their kits and have a well designed system that will work as intended and not cost valuable time, or worse - an engine. |
