then take your chances, pull the piston out, polish it with some emery cloth, remove the seal and clean the housing. re-install the seal and piston and hope it works ok until you can replace it

I have a stuck caliper on my bronco right now and I would replace it but I am getting ready to rip out the WHOLE bottom end of the truck So I figure I'll wait and get it when I get to that part but brakes are no joke man. If it fails you will be hatin life, just like J said!

I say replace it since the fronts are the ones that do most of the braking. Also just fixing it still leaves room for what if. It's better to build a safer car than a faster car. Who cares how fast it is if it wont do what it was originally designed to do?

either rebuild it, or replace it... would keep an eye out for gt take offs which are the same thing, or watch e-bay there are a few for sale right now

I'd replace it. It doesn't matter how fast you go if you can't stop at the end of the race.

I say replace it...that way you dont have to go through the work of rebuilding it and new parts will alst you longer and save you some cash in the long run...

I think he has already fixed though...This is a pretty old post...

You can rebuild it (kits contain usually just a seal for about $10), but if it's stuck then it'll probably need to be honed... the tool costs about as much as a new caliper.

don't mess around with brakes... buy a new caliper & all new pads & have your rotor turned.. it will be worth it in the long run. better safe than sorry..
