Gas Mileage?

I recently turned 1000 miles on my '06 Gt and the best mileage I'm getting so far 20.9 MPG. Shes a 5 speed manual and thats with fairly conservative takeoffs and mostly highway miles, 55-65 Mph and air conditioning.

Will this improve some or is that what I can expect?

Thanks

Sticker gas mileage also is tested in a very controlled condition. So it will almost never match.

I have yet to see a car get what the sticker said. But I have gotten better than sticker on my daily driver once, but that was driving like a senior citizen from the redlights and not going over 1500 rpm from a stand still. But I was putting down an Avg of 20.7 mpg and that was only city driving and the sticker listed 13 city 18 avg, and 20 highway.

Just wait for your Mustang to break in. It will have more power and get better mpg. How much better, not sure.

I got around 26 mph on the highway running 75 mph when my Mach had stock gears. I now have most bolt-ons and 4.10 gears and get around 18 mpg which is mostly in town spirited driving.

Now why would one worry about something so silly as gas milage. I'd walk all week so I could ride on the weekend.... and did so many times as a kid. And that was when gas was 29 cents a gal for the good stuff. Had a 67 GT with a 390 in it. passed everthing but a gas station W.P.

I've got an 06 Mustang GT and I get 25 MPG on the highway but I do alot of city driving so I usually average around 19 MPG per tank.

Filled up last week at 2.49 a gallon

My 00 GT V8 runs 17.6 miles per gal. I use premium gas so it gets a little expensive but nothings to good for my mustang.
