Hey all,
Im new to this forum, but thought Id chime in on this thread. I just bought the Procharger D1 with 8lb. pulley. I had been looking for the past several months and finally decided on the Procharger. I got it at Superchargers4less.com. It was $4k and some change with a complete kit, 2 core intercooler, and 42# injectors. I thought a KB root style was like $6,000.

Anyway I Got the kit in the garage getting ready for the install.

Today Im dropping the gas tank and putting in the Focus SVT fuel pump to kick off this project.

Not to hijack this thread but if Anybodies got any tips on dropping the tank I will listen. Sounds like a complete Pain in d Arse!

the KB isn't a roots charger it's a twin screw. a far superior charger than a roots and more efficient.

the roushchargers suck anyway. saleen is good, but i'd take a kenne bell, whipple, or procharger long before the saleen.

thans for all the advice everyone!! i think i'm gonna go for the set-up that 05mustang.. suggested cuz those are the numbers that i'm looking for. by the way, i won't have to make any real major changes to my motor other than fuel system components, right? an what fuel system components should i go with? (ie what size fuel pump?, size injectors?, M.A.F. sensor?) plus what's the whole "Boost-A-Pump" thing about that KB offers?
hope i didn't ask too many questions...

no the stock motor should be fine at that level, I would say some 39 lbs. injectors, a 255 gph fuel pump, and look for one that is calibrated to the injectors. You shouldn't need a Boost A Pump with that set up. Is your car a mass air or MAP sensor setup?

that's kinda a funny question cuz you see when i bought the car it already had a mass air sensor installed on it but as far as i can tell it's not hooked up to the injectors or anything for that matter. so i have no idea as to what calibration it is. so i plan on buyin a new mass air flow sensor once i know for sure what kind of injectors i'm gettin. then i gotta get the conversion harness an fuel pump an hopefully i'll be all set. i think???

well now the car is officially a maf setup since i got the wiring harness from 50resto.com! i am definitley gonna get rid of the stock fuel pump an injectors. So my list of things to get for fuel system is as follows:
-80MM Mass air flow sensor (calibrated for 42lbers)
-8 42 lb injectors
-255 lph pump
So does that look alright or what?? An i think i'm gonna go with the KB 2.1L 10 psi kit cuz if i worked out the numbers right that should bet me to around 410-430 hp with the other mods.
