cylinder #8 misfire

i just bought a 96 gt the first day i had it the check engine light came on and it runs like junk. so the first thing i did was check the code and it gave me misfire on # 8, so i changed plugs and fuel filter and ran some fuel sysytem cleaner through it, it has helped some, the filter was clogged but im still running rough in gear and its sputtering when accelerating. im wondering if clogged cats can cause this or may be wires or coil pack, this is the first 4.6 ive had im use to 5.0. any help or suggestions would be great.
