Help

I tried to install my O/R H pipe today but I was only able to get bolts off that were connecting it to the catback. Should I take it to a muffler shop and have them do it or try to finish it myself? Would a muffler shop even do it since its O/R? About how much would it cost?

I get it.

he can't get the bolts off the manifolds.

it's a common problem.

you can try heating them up or using a solvent to loosen them a bit
(like WD40)

Oooooooooooo!!!! I just read it wrong! Sorry dude!

Yeah, those were a bitch to get off for me too!!

We tried penatrating fluid(ALOT)!!

We wound up gettin a shop to heat it then break it loose.

Try usin a breaker bar....If u have a jack with a detachable shaft, and with an opening at the end, then just insert the end of the wratchet into the shaft opening and it works for alot of extra leverage! If that bolt is able to move w/o penetrating fluid or heat, then this will do it.

If not, the other two will.

A shop will charge u anywhere from 35-65 bucks to get those bolts off! It's a bitch!!

Do you think that if I had a shop remove the bolts and take the stock mid pipe off I could drive it about 10 miles with open headers to get it back to my house? Im tryin to spend the least amount of money possible and it would probably be cheaper to install the new mid pipe myself than having them install it.

I don't think it would have enough back pressure to keep running...

I'm not positive.

Just get them to break lose all the bolts and just lightly tighten them back. Then u can drive it back home.

Ask them if u should replace any of the studs also. I had to replace 2.
