Rear Noise
I recently changed the rear brakes on my 99 Mustang GT The day I did this I was driving home and I noticed a howl coming from the right rear of my car. I pulled the ebrake up one click and the noise stopped. It then didnt happen again untl a couple days later. Now when I am at a low rpm role the noise is there and also in cornering to the right. Any Ideas on what this can be THanks

when you changed your brakes did you replace the rotors as well or at least turn them? Also did you install organic pads or ceramic? Another question did you apply the squeal gel on the pads and did you put them back in the right way?
When replacing the brakes I would replace the rotors they are not that much and is worth it in the long run. I would also get ceramic pads as the don't wear as easy and will take alot more heat then regular and hardly any brake dust. And the reason I asked if you put them in correctly was my friend did not wait on me and put his in and they were back wards and caused damage to the caliper and rotors..so just check and make sure . |
