Chevy 350 in an '88 Mustang
I have a free Chevy 350 and a Ford 9-inch rear that I want to put into an '88 2.3L car. I have already seen the AJE kit and I like it as far as mounting the motor, but what transmission and dirveshaft do you guys suggest to keep the car a manual and hook a Chevy motor to a Ford rear?

WHY is my question, when its prob a shitty engine from say an 82-92 camaro iroc-z or z28, which are rated to like 13hp.. when you could take an 87-92 302, w/ forged pistons, roller camshaft and easily make a hot stroker..for that $5k rather than gay $5k for a 350 chevy

The motor is not an old car motor, let's just suffice to say it is low mileage and has better numbers than I can get from Ford without a lot of money (which is what I'm trying to avoid by putting a motor I already have in the car). If I were to go with a 5.0, I would still have to replace this old transmission, clutch, driveshaft, and rear because the car is old with almost 200,000 and will probably not stand up to the performance level I want. So if I have to do all the work, why spend money on a motor when I have one for free that puts up better numbers than the Ford motor would out of the crate. Quit your whining about brand names matching, at least I'm not trying to put a 2JZ-GTE or something like that in it.
I have got suggestions on another forum that include Richmond and a Tremec T5. I am pretty familiar with Richmond but I'm not sure the T5 is the way to go. And if it is, how much work is going to be needed to bolt a driveshaft to a T5 and then to a Ford rear?

Blah blah blah blah. Narrow minded people. The guy asked how to put an engine in a car, not your opinions on what engine he should put in his car. It doesn't matter if you don't like it because its his car, not yours.

Light Mustang+good racing motor=fast car. Basic physics. Yeah, Tremec looks pretty good, I might buy a used one and rebuild it myself.
