Manual Tranny To Auto Conversion

When converting from a manual tranny to an auto do you need to change the pilot bushing / bearing? Is this required for an auto tranny?

Might be a dumb question but I am no tranny expert!

No you dont need a pilot bearing for an auto trans. It is only there to support the input shaft in a manual trans.

I think 3-speed auto's are the way of the future, especially for drag racing...
