You can put a fuel pressure gauge on to monitor fuel pressure when it happens again. If the fuel pressure drops then you know its fuel related. If it doesn't drop then it is something else. Other possible issues could be wiring, bad ground, ignition module, coil.

Does it cut out right away or does it usually happen after you drive for a period of time? If it happens after you drive for a while, how long of a drive? Does the car shut off completely or just spit and sputter a bit?

thanks............it's drives for awhile say 2 or 3miles/cuts out completely.
coasting along i'll down shift and it will kick in and go for awhile again.
repeating this process several times over 10to 15mile trip

Sounds like a possible bad ignition module.
